What is Silverberry’s testing process?

We will send you a DNA kit so that you can provide a saliva sample.

After you send the sample in, your DNA will be extracted in the lab.

Where are the samples analyzed?
The DNA samples are analyzed in our lab partner's United States location. The lab is certified by CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988) and accredited by the College of American Pathologists. CLIA-certified and CAP-accredited labs meet high quality standards that lead to greater accuracy and reliability of results.
How accurate are the reports?
Silverberry uses a computational genomics platform to analyze genetics-based wellness. The platform is based on over a decade of highly curated global scientific research, and it automatically updates as new knowledge becomes available.
Who determines the recommendations?
Experts at Silverberry perform DNA analysis to determine your genetic predispositions. They then use nutrigenomics to develop the best diet for you.

Institutional Review Board
The Silverberry Institutional Review Board (IRB) is a committee composed of individuals that can provide legal, scientific expertise, nonscientific oversight, and support to ensure both the responsible and ethical use of genomic data gathered from our human participants.
All human research conducted by Silverberry will comply with federal regulations that protect the rights and welfare of the participants, and require that researchers to clarify the benefits and risks of participating in the research through use of Informed Consent. All research will be subject to the Federal Policy for the Protection of Human Research Subjects, or 'Common Rule' (Code of Federal Regulations, Title 45, Part 46) to ensure the safety of research participants.
Susan Edgar Helm, a long term advocate of the ethical and social aspects of healthcare studies and Chair of Seaver College Institutional Review Board, is overseeing the Silverberry Institutional Review Board.

Predisposition risk or likelihood is a statistical measure based on the latest advances in genomics science and is provided as an additional layer of information for fitness decision-making. Most applications rely on single genetic variation-single genetic trait association studies publicly available. Silverberry’s technology explores a network of genetic variations influencing your potential predisposition using an aggregate analysis of more than 2,400 scientific studies and enhanced through learning artificial intelligence algorithms.
If you do not have genetic testing data already, you can order a genetic testing kit through our portal. All it takes is two minutes for you to collect a saliva sample in the comfort of your own home and mail the pre-paid package to get your own personalized genomics reports.
Silverberry also supports 23andMe, Ancestry.com or FamilyTreeDNA Data. Once you upload our file, you receive ten Basic Wellness Reports for free, and you can order other packages of your choice.
